The aim of the current study is to evaluate the alpha particles some parameters like the Radon Concentrations (222Rn), Radium content (226Ra), uranium concentrations (238U), and Annual effective dose (AED), fatal cancer risk (FCR) in some samples of different types of table salt used in Iraqi kitchens. have been measured through Sealed cup technique containing LR-115 (SSNTDs) Solid state nuclear detector. Results showed that radon concentrations ranged from 210.466 (Bq/m3) to 1045.544 (Bq/m3) with an average of 585.5719 (Bq/m3), The radium content in) Bq/kg (ranged from 0.013 to 0.066 with an average of 0.0368, Uranium concentration varied from0.171 (Bq/m3) to 0.851(Bq/m3) with an average of 0.47675(Bq/m3). also as (AED) varied from 0.0022 (𝜇sv/y) to 0.0111 (𝜇sv/y) with an average of 0.00621(𝜇vs./y). And (FCR) varied from 0.05668 ˟ 10-5 to 0.08393˟ 10-5 with an average of 0. 047004 ˟ 10-5. The results the current the study was within internationally permitted limits. So there is no danger in using different types of table salt in Iraqi kitchens. Therefore, modern methods and techniques are used to reduce the resulting radiation risks.
